Who we are
EduConnectSL runs a national register of verified school needs in Sri Lanka. Contact: hello@educonnectsl.lk.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, an optional phone number, and what describes you (for example teacher or donor).
- School contacts added to a need: a name and a phone number or email.
- Support records and proof files you upload.
- Messages you send through our forms, and newsletter sign-ups (email only).
- Basic security logs such as sign-in times and IP addresses, to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
What we never collect
Children's names, identity numbers, dates of birth, grades or home addresses, and anyone's bank details. Forms warn against entering them, and the team removes anything that slips through.
Who can see what
- Everyone: verified needs, coverage, confirmed support records, cleared proof photos and census school details.
- The EduConnect team: contacts, reporter details, help requests and proof PDFs, to verify needs and make introductions.
- You: your own reports, requests, support records and uploads.
How we use it
To verify needs, introduce supporters to schools, keep the public record accurate, and send account and service emails. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Photos
Location and camera data are removed from photos. A photo becomes public only after an editor checks that it shows no identity card, signature, bank account or close photograph of a child.
Where data is stored
On Cloudflare infrastructure. Email is sent through Resend. Sessions use a secure, http-only cookie.
Your choices
You can update your profile at any time, and ask us to correct or remove your personal data by writing to hello@educonnectsl.lk. Some records stay in the audit log, with personal details removed, so the history of the register remains trustworthy.
