transparency

What we publish, and what we protect.

A register is only useful if people can trust it. These are the rules the platform enforces in code, not just in policy.

Published for everyone

Every verified need: school, district, category, items, quantities and urgency
Coverage for each item, including overlap above 100%
Status words: Open, Partial, Completed
Confirmed support records: type of support, percent per item, comment and date
Proof photos the team has reviewed and cleared, with location data removed
The census details of each school: name, address, district, zone and type

Protected, always

Children's names, faces up close and any identity details
Home addresses of students, teachers and donors
Identity card numbers, signatures and bank account details
Phone numbers and emails of school contacts and reporters
Proof PDFs, which stay with the uploader and the EduConnect team
Needs that are pending review or were not approved

Verification

A reported need is not public until an EduConnect editor reads it and verifies it. Only verified needs carry the words EduConnect verified, and only those appear on the home page and in search. An editor can also hide a record with a written reason; hiding keeps the original text in the audit log.

The audit log

Every change, from a new need to a verification, a hidden contact or a corrected school record, writes an audit row with who did it and when. Audit rows are never edited or deleted by the application.

Money

EduConnectSL does not take custody of money in this phase. There is no payment button, no bank transfer and no wallet. Support goes directly from the supporter to the school, and the platform records it.

Corrections

If something about your school or your record is wrong, contact us. We correct it and the change is audited.

We never hold money. You support the school directly, and we record what was delivered.
